Rickard A Eriksson:”Conditions were ideal this April evening as winter was losing its grip. Uttakliev is probably Lofoten’s most famous beach and is located just north of the Polar Circle. Facing west, I am surrounded by these amazing cliffs with wonderful light emphasizing the rocks. The sun sets slower this time of year which gives you plenty of time to wait for the perfect moment.”
Rickard A Eriksson’s favotite little fisherman’s village in Lofoten called Sakrisøy Rorbuer. He got these magnificent sunset after waiting for the perfect conditions that calm evening in beautiful Reine. He is originally from Hammarö, located near Karlstad in Värmland, Sweden. Since the turn of the century, he has been residing outside Oslo-Norway, where he seriously began photographing. He is passionate about wild landscapes and it’s a short trek to many of this world’s most beautiful and dramatic land scapes. He feels mostly at home up in the mountains and out by the sea, which strongly reflects in his choice of subject matter. Lofoten and Vesterålen lie Rickard warmest at heart. These amazing archipelagos north of the polar circle offer steep mountains, rugged coastlines, and incredibly beautiful light contidions, attracting him back year after year. Normaly, he may be very impatient, but as a photographer he can wait for hours or even days for the right light to manisfest itself.
