Paul Kolk: “On expedition to Hallo Bay in Alaska, I had one of the most exhilirating experiences I’ve experienced as a photographer. We sat still at the waters edge where the grizzly bears were chasing salmon. Suddenly, this bear charges in my direction and we were ”eye-to-eye” through my lens. It turned out that there was a salmon just 5 meters in front of me! It was a fabulous experience and I got an awesome shot.”
Paul was born in Gothenburg and then moved from the beautiful west coast to Hofors in Gästrikland. He likes all kinds of photography between macro and starry skies, but thrives best in the wilderness where photography has become his lifestyle. He spends the most time in Sweden’s forests, on the marshes and sometimes on by the coast and up the mountain range, but also travels to other parts of the world where his favorite expeditions have been to Alaska and Canada.
